Time for Kids

During my field experience in a fourth grade classroom last week, the teacher used Time for Kids Magazine as a social studies lesson. The students were very excited about the lesson and seemed to be engaged and interested in the topics and issues being discussed. Time for Kids is designed to encourage reading and writing and is easily integrated with other content areas such as social studies and science. The magazine comes out weekly and comes in four different reading levels (Grades k-1, Grade 2, Grades 3-4, and Grades 5-6).
